Tommy Chun Ming
If you know Tommy Chun Ming, you know his first ritual when he hits the water is to do the rounds and say hi. Tommy is one of those guys who exudes the greatest qualities of a waterman; not only can he ride well, but he shows a lot of aloha in the water. Tommy is the kind of person who will sit out a wave, to allow a less experienced rider to take a shot. If you ask him his philosophy on being a good surfer, he'll tell you it comes with the responsibility of nurturing others along the way. His switch foot style is legendary. KM Boards is privileged to have Tommy as one of our riders. Congrats to Tommy in placing 2nd in the Hawaii State Standup Paddle Finals!
Vanina Walsh
KM is proud to bring Roxy Girl Vanina Walsh to the team. Vanina's images are being used nationwide within the surf industry by a long list of sponsors. Vanina has been competing in SUP Surfing, SUP racing, Long Boards, short Board and Tandem surfing contests for years and has a long list of wins including the Hawaii Battle of the Paddle 2011.
Vanina has a reputation of being one of the friendliest people in the line-up from the shores of Waikiki to the famous North Shore.
Christopher Bluthardt
We handed Christopher his new SUP, up until that point he had been riding a long board as his SUP.
He paddled out, turned and caught the first wave that came. We walked away thinking we were the lucky ones having him on our board.
Christopher is a talented and strong athlete and makes easy work of his 6.8 SUP.
He is a great competitor and is a great member of our KM team.
Matt Martinez
Matt is a passionate and highly skilled rider. He makes easy work of his 8.0 SUP. He loves two things in life : surfing and soccer. His mild demeanor morfs into a skilled competitor on the field and in the water.
Tia Blanco
Tia's has surfed since the age of 3. A relative new comer to SUP, she brings with her an impressive line up of wins.
- Rabbit Keikai short board first place 2008,
- China surf comp hawaii First place 2009,
- HSAH final Hawaii Championship 2009
- Jedidiah surf comp second place 2009.
Tia is a great competitor with a cruisy nature, who loves to be in the water. KM boards is privileged to have Tia as a team rider.
Tiki Willis
Tiki Willis, the daughter of Waikiki beach boy Alika Willis, is as home in the water as she is on land.
Tiki's fearless approach has her charging head high waves. Not bad for a 6 year old SUP'er!
Mom Dina and Dad Alika can be found keeping a watchful eye from Waikiki beach.
With Alika, a veteran Molakai channel paddler as coach, Tiki is turning into one of the most promising junior paddlers around.
